U.S. Launches Agricultural Trade Mission to Taiwan to Strengthen Export Ties

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has shared details about a USDA-led trade mission to Taipei, Taiwan, scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 1, 2025.

The mission, organized by the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), aims to boost export opportunities for U.S. agribusinesses by connecting them directly with key importers and retailers in Taiwan.

Taiwan is the eighth-largest market for U.S. agricultural exports, totaling $3.8 billion in 2024, and representing a 25% share of Taiwan’s total ag imports. The country shows a strong and growing demand for consumer-oriented food products.

The main exports from the United States to Taiwan include mineral fuels such as crude oil, machinery, electronic products, and chemicals, according to data from the Observatory of Economic Complexity (OEC) and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).

Among the agricultural products sold to Taiwan are oilseeds, fresh grapes, onions, asparagus, grains, straw, and forage, among others.

Application Deadline: June 17, 2025
