LA Phil expressed solidarity for the January wildfire in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Philharmonic presented a special concert on April 1 at the Hollywood Bowl to honor first responders and those affected by the January wildfires in Los Angeles.

Music and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel led the LA Phil in the tribute, joined by special guests including singer Christina Aguilera, jazz pianist Gerald Clayton, and the Palisades Charter High School Band.

The program featured Gabriela Ortiz’s “Kauyumari,” the Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, and selections of iconic film scores by composer John Williams.

The concert aims to express gratitude and solidarity with those who responded to and were impacted by the devastating fires earlier this year.
