UCLA Health announced yesterday the official opening of its new facility, the UCLA West Valley Medical Center, located in the heart of West Hills.

The center occupies the former site of West Hills Hospital, which was acquired by UCLA Health in 2024. With this new location, UCLA Health strengthens its ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to communities across the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas.

In an official statement issued by the hospital’s board of directors, the organization noted: ”This center represents our mission to bring world-class medical services closer to more people. We are proud to offer comprehensive care in one convenient location, eliminating the need for long-distance.

The UCLA West Valley Medical Center offers a broad range of advanced services, including:

24/7 emergency care

On-site helipad for urgent air transport

-The UCLA Health Regional Burn Center, one of the only programs in the region providing both inpatient and outpatient burn care

-Specialized cardiology and oncology services

-Accredited Chest Pain Center

-Diagnosis and treatment in neurology, spine, and orthopedics

-Comprehensive surgical services, including minimally invasive procedures

Physical, occupational, and speech therapy for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation
